Luxury boutique hotel? Don’t mind if we do.
When the team at Mayfair Luxury Hotels came calling to support them with the launch of their beautiful boutique hotel in central Christchurch, we dived open-armed (just as you would onto one of their luxury king beds).
With marketing strategy, creative, advertising, production, PR and social support, we leveraged being ‘new’ without being a flash in the pan. Our strategy was to launch the property as a modern establishment from the get-go, anchored in a future-fit rejuvenated city narrative, and standing out with a fresh take on luxury.
At the core of all this storytelling is a visual feast, stunning photography and video of spaces and cuisine. HeyYou led the creative direction and production and partnered with stand-out local talent to deliver.
Interior photography by Sarah Rowlands, food and beverage photography by Tonia Shuttleworth, video talent and styling by Lou Heller and videography by Chris Brooks.
The results in less than a year:
30 media hits generated via PR with a combined audience of 6.4 million
520 visual assets directed and produced for the brand across photography and video
A thriving (and fast-growing) social media community with strong engagement
Ranked #1 Christchurch hotel on Tripadvisor within the first 8 months of operating
Exceeded all occupancy and rate projections within 3 months of opening.
What our client had to say:
“During the construction phase of the hotel development, I began looking for a marketing and PR agency to assist with the launch of The Mayfair. In a competitive and robust pitch process, HeyYou stood out from the rest. Fleur and the team have a deep understanding of what is required to build a brand from scratch and we knew they were a business partner we could trust.
HeyYou guided us from day one and felt like our own in-house team rather than an outsourced agency. The team are passionate, knowledgeable, extremely well respected and above all else, fun to work with.”
